track 1, a piano is recorded at flicker. someone says "clint" and his name is looped. there are ghosts of saws struggling to impart their secret, and failing.
track 2, equalisation of a preamps self-noise in a room formerly occupied by a human named moira.
track 3, my swan backwards. the slow speed starlings from outside duino, as heard for a moment near the conclusion of "signal morning." also contains severely garbled/manipulated audio of a ray kinney LP. it is no longer recognizable, but its true soul has been revealed.
track 4 opens with a takeshi shimura soundbite from "scandal" a film by akira kurosawa. groaning bowed strings from "daguerreotype" territory. distortions and flutterings of zither.
track 5 contains audio from a russian literature LP released by folkways. it is a reading from "the brothers karamazov" by fyodor dostoevsky. "oh my love" bells and looped droning organs from elsewhere.
track 6, tangled feelings from the universe room somehow fail to break the marantz.
track 7, a soundtrack for the puddlemaking pastime of a beloved cat.
track 8 is an outtake of sorts from the nesey gallons produced "singing saw at christmas time" album by julian koster. a recording of "o christmas tree" was played on a boombox under an echoey bridge in central park and re-recorded with a portable reel to reel nagra. the unprocessed original recording remains unreleased, but it is used here playing at half-speed, doubled and out of phase with itself.
track 9, ptsd therapy at joes house in north carolina, november 2010.... it is only the beginning.
